Carla Bruni says her husband gets up her nose worse than cocaine: Colombian foreign minister says he is deeply offended
Now, this is just silly:
Carla Bruni, wife of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has been attacked by a senior Colombian politician for singing about cocaine on her new album. In one song believed to be dedicated to her husband, the former model, who has launched a new career as a chanteuse, sings: “You are my drug. More lethal than heroin from Afghanistan and more dangerous than Colombian white.”
But the lyrics failed to impress Fernando Araujo, foreign minister of Colombia which is the world’s largest producer of cocaine. “Since this is coming from the mouth of the president’s wife, we consider this statement very hurtful to Colombia,” he said.
I’m not sure what Colombia’s foreign minister is so upset about. Bruni is hardly singing the praises of this drug. Look at any picture of Nicolas Sarkobolt and you must admit that to claim that he can give you a better high than the old Colombian marching powder is to seriously insult that drug.
Mind you, I’m not a fan of recreational drug use but if I would have to get naked with Sarkozy I would definitely need the moral support of some serious drug, be that heroin or cocaine. Just ‘Close your eyes and think of France’ wouldn’t quite do the trick.
