Youvebeenleftbehind.com: The new internet service for dead Christians (Please God, I want an e-mail from Bush)

You know the old nursery rhyme:

“One flew East,
one flew West…

…and one sent E-mails
from the cuckoo’s nest

Anyway, this one is kind of interesting:

A new internet service allows Christian subscribers to send emails to non-believing friends and relatives after they have died. Youvebeenleftbehind.com offers users a facility to store emails and documents that are sent to up to 63 email addresses six days after the sender and fellow believers have been transported to Heaven.

Which is sort of cute – or it would have been, if not for the fact that these people believe in the Rapture. So, in fact this e-mail system is just another way of saying, ‘My faith/dick is bigger than yours’ .

It’s also not that big a deal: to have a few e-mails delivered after your death that you composed while you were still alive. People have been doing that for a very long time – way before Christ was a glimmer in His father’s eyes, so to speak. ‘Last will and testament’, anyone?

Still, I’m sure the people behind youvebeenleftbehind(haha!).com will make a Hell of a lot of money out of this – and I, for one, will not begrudge them this.

Especially if I could get one of those e-mails myself, preferably from George W. Bush, in about a week or so…
