The TV technician who went from born again to bored and back to porn again
I’m sure it’s happened to lots of folks: you’re in church and the priest, vicar, rabbi, imam etcetera is going on an on about… well, God knows what, because you’re off – up and away in some beautiful daydream-filled balloon.
As I said, it must have happened to millions and millions of people at one time or the other and, unless you fall asleep and start to snore, drool or moan in your pew, there’s no great harm done.
However, while all of the above is true for those inside the church, it is quite another matter when the person who is ‘otherwise engaged’ is a television engineer:
A television technician in French Polynesia has been suspended after he accidentally broadcast part of a pornographic movie shortly after a regular religious programme, Australian media reported.
The mix-up occurred earlier this month on the Tahiti Nui television network, when three minutes of the adult movie, including 52 seconds of explicit pornography, went to air during the mid-afternoon.
The technician was taping a satellite feed from Paris when he switched channels to look at an adult program, not noticing he had started to tape the wrong program, Ives said.
